No. 6 Spartans Finish Regular Season, Prepare for CCLA Playoffs Win over Ball State puts MSU at 11-4 in 2011 May 2, 2011 EAST LANSING, MI - Michigan State Lacrosse wrapped up regular season play against conference opponent Ball State University. The final score was 28-3 in a game played in front of a large crowd at Grosse Ile High School. The Spartans cleared the bench and the newer players received good game experience. This weekend, the Spartans' run for a CCLA Championship starts Saturday, May 7 at 4:00 p.m. MSU will play the Pittsburgh Panthers on the East Stadium at Saline High School. Pittsburgh finished 9-2, second in the East Division of the CCLA to University of Michigan. In the last two seasons, Michigan State has beaten Pitt twice with a combined score of 30-8. MSU comes in to the conference tournament winning 6 of their last 7 and currently ranked number 6 nationally in the MCLA. The national tournament starts May 17 in Denver, CO at Dicks Sporting Goods Park. More information will be provided in the coming weeks. At the Spartans end of season banquet Sunday May 1, the following individual awards were presented: Offensive Player of the Year: Patrick Nemes Defensive Player of the Year: Alex Gage Heart of a Spartan Award: Connor Bush Player of the Year: Smith Atwood

No. 6 Spartans Face CMU in Annual Senior Night/ Charity Game
Proceeds go to National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Michigan Chapter   April 12, 2011
EAST LANSING, MI- The 8-3 Spartans will face conference opponent Central Michigan University this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. This is the last home game for nine MSU Lacrosse Seniors who will be honored with their parents at halftime for their dedication and hard work over the past four years. This year, the senior class selected National Multiple Sclerosis Society for their Charity contribution. ALL proceeds from the gate and any additional donations will be sent to the Michigan Chapter for Multiple Sclerosis assistance and funding. The game will be played at Ralph Young Field (next to Spartan Stadium) on the campus of Michigan State University.
